Emulsifier(Nonylphenol Ethoxylate)
Emulsifier(2-(2-(4-Nonylphenoxy)ethoxy)ethanol, FTRT NP-10, Nonylphenoxypoly(ethyleneoxy, Nonylphenol Ethoxylate)ethanol) is a polyethylene oxide-type nonionic surfactant produced by the reaction of nonylphenol with ethylene oxide. Its chemical composition includes a hydrophobic nonylphenol group and a hydrophilic ethoxy chain, and it appears as a colorless transparent liquid. It is a non-ionic surfactant and an external spermicidal contraceptive, included in the United States Pharmacopeia 1990 XX11 edition. This product can alter the osmotic pressure of sperm, killing them or rendering them immotile so they cannot enter the cervical canal, thereby preventing fertilization and achieving contraception.
